Can students be given a retest on assessment tests in EMSTesting?
As the Fall approaches and students begin to enroll in their new courses in EMSTesting, you may encounter a situation where a student has been part of a previous course and completed some or all of their Assessment Tests. If you would like to reset these tests to give students another opportunity to take them, you can delete their previous results.
To do so, you can follow these instructions:
As a School Administrator:
From your School Administrator Homepage inside EMSTesting, in the Courses section, click on the course that the student is enrolled in. This should cause a couple of buttons to display. You will want to select the "Student Assessments" button.
This will cause a "Student Assessments" window to appear. Pick the student in question from the "Select A Student" section.
When you choose your student their "Assessment Results" will appear below.
Find the tab that corresponds to the test you would like your student to complete again.
This will display their results from that test. On that tab, there is a "Delete Test" button. Clicking that will delete the student’s attempt and allow them to retake their assessment.
If the student is also already enrolled in classes within the course, instructors can also reset the tests. They would go to their instructor's Homepages inside EMSTesting, and from their Classes section, click on the class that the student is enrolled in. When that expands, they will see a series of buttons including the "Student Assessments" button.
This will cause a "Student Assessments" window to appear as well, and they will follow the same steps as an Administrator to reset the test.
