Let us help get you started on the right foot!
When it comes to data, it has been said that bad data in will always result in bad data out, or garbage in equals garbage out. This is true in the collection of data for any reason and also holds true for paramedic programs when they are attempting to ensure compliance with the NREMT Paramedic Psychomotor Competency Portfolio and the CAAHEP accreditation requirements, especially when the requirements change. It is essential that the paramedic courses are set up to collect the correct information from the beginning to allow for easy and reliable reporting on the progress and completion of a cohort.
Platinum Educational Group recognizes the importance of having your course set up to collect the right data from the start of your program and we have created tools and implemented procedures to help you get it right the first time!

Course Creation Templates – Platinum Planner
The creation of a paramedic program from scratch can be a daunting challenge. It requires complete understanding of the over 400 skills available to be selected for paramedic programs in Platinum Planner. One must be able to choose the correct skills for lab, scenario, clinical, and capstone field internship, and to know how and where these skills will report on the NREMT Portfolio Progress Report, CoAEMSP Summary Tracking Form, and the new Student Minimum Competency Matrix (Appendix G). This is where the course creation template comes in!
When you elect to use the course creation templates that are available to you in Platinum Planner, you are guaranteed that you are creating a course that will meet the minimum required standards of BOTH the NREMT Portfolio program and the new CoA Appendix G! The template allows you to create a course to track the prescribed minimum required skills and scenario pathologies and edit them to meet the minimums as approved by your Advisory Committee and Program Medical Director. There is even a handy import tool that makes it easy for you to assign your approved minimums simply by uploading a copy of the latest version of the new Appendix G matrix!
Whether you are looking for a “Set it and forget it” approach or for a more customizable one, the course creation templates in Platinum Planner are the perfect place to begin. Platinum Educational Group Course Audit Procedure
Whether you used our handy course creation template or struck out on your own and created your ideal course from scratch, there is no need to worry or wonder whether it is set up correctly. Platinum Educational Group has implemented a course auditing procedure to help our clients catch simple mistakes early on before they cause major headaches down the road. EVERY paramedic level program created in Platinum Planner will be audited by a member of our Education Team. They are simply giving your course a once over to ensure that it is set up to meet the prescribed minimum requirements of the NREMT and CoAEMSP. They will review the courses looking for mistakes that have been identified to be potential causes of difficulties in the future.
Within 7 days of course creation, you will hear from a member of our Education Team with the results of your course audit. They will call to your attention any potential issues identified. You can then contact Customer Support, schedule a training session with a member of our Training team, or schedule a meeting with one of our Medical Educators to discuss any questions that you have concerning the results of your recent audit.
To learn more about the Course Auditing Process or to have your questions answered, please contact our Customer Support Team by using the HELP button on the bottom right of your dashboard.
